Beautiful work! Are you using stained glass? If not, what brand of tile is this? I love the soft, muted colors. Thanks for letting me know.

We are not using stained glass. These mosaics are made entirely of hand-glazed ceramic tiles that we craft here in our glazing studio. We formulate all the colors ourselves, using original artwork as our guides.
The tiles are glazed and texturized with different methods and materials according to the style of Owen Smith’s painting, then fired in our kilns.
This gives our mosaicists a large varied palette to create a very true painterly translation.
